Those Who Ride With Giants is the cinematic post-rock project of Australian composer, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist MJ Callaghan. Moving between quiet, intimate melodies and massive walls of sound, the music is developed to feel like an open-ended journey.

Operating entirely as a solo venture, MJ maintains a hands-on, creative approach to every stage, from writing and performance through to final production, while also designing the immersive artwork and videos that shape the project’s visual world.

At its core, the project focuses on narrative world-building.

Rather than just releasing collections of songs, each album acts as a new chapter in an ongoing mythic storyline, inviting listeners into vast landscapes defined by both delicate details and monolithic experiences.
